If you’ve ridden the Intermediate Loop, this Longer Loop is a very logical next step.
It’s also pretty much the longest single loop you can do at Hartland, following many of the perimeter trails.
Like the Intermediate Loop, this ride has no mandatory jumps or drops, but does have some more challenging rock faces and obstacles (going up AND down).
Most intermediate riders comfortable with West Coast terrain will be able to ride the entire trail in the dry, although in wet weather there are a few obstacles you may have challenges with. That said, for the most part there are no unexpected surprises – you generally have good visibility and lots of time to decide to hop off and survey (or walk) some of the more challenging obstacles.
