If you want a slightly shorter ride than the Waterfront 57 km route to Cordova Bay or simply want some variety, this is a great choice.
You’ll take the Galloping Goose and Lochside trails most of the way out before coming back via the stunning Victoria waterfront.
Roadies should note that Lochside Trail includes pedestrian traffic and a bit of hard packed gravel along the way. It’s definitely passable on skinny tires, but if you want to hit it hard you should probably take the Waterfront 57 km route instead. Our Peninsula rides also all steer you through by Cordova Bay.
Families and less experienced riders should note that if you can modify this route to do an “out and back” on Lochside that results in a flat, relaxed ride of around 30 km, keeping to the Lochside and Galloping Goose Trails for the most part.
